Senior Player – Essay Writing Preparation - August 2020

Rising senior students will be guided through the college essay writing process. Common Application Essay Prompts will reviewed, guidelines and tips shared, and individual essay submissions discussed.

Senior Player – Common Application Workshop - August 2020

Rising seniors will be guided through every section of the Common Application (excluding essay). Students will complete application and be ready before school starts. Please refer to Materials Needed List to arrive prepared.

Senior Player/Parent College Process - September 2020

Senior year steps and guidelines for the recruitment and application process will be outlined in detail. Coach and admission communication recommendations reviewed and financial suggestions shared.

Financial Aid Workshop - Available Virtually (Email Kim Hearney for invitational link)

College financial aid professional will review all types of financial aid and applications for various institutions. Individual financial aid application services will be available for a fee.

Junior Player/Parent College Process with Recruitment Prep - TBD Fall 2020

Junior players and parents will be guided through the college selection and recruitment process. Tips for campus visits (physical and virtual), course recommendations, SAT/ACT timeline, prep, and test-optional trend, coach communication pointers, and financial planning will be discussed.

Sophomore Player/Parent – Academic Success  - TBD Late Fall 2020

Sophomore players and parents will be informed of grade-level appropriate steps and academic guidelines. NCAA requirements will be thoroughly reviewed for player preparation.

Freshmen Player/Parent – Preliminary College Process  - TBD January 2021

Freshmen players and parents will be introduced to the college and recruiting process. Student and parent expectations will be outlined and students will be invited to register to SportsRecruits at this time for recruitment purposes.

College Panel – all grade levels - TBD Spring 2021

A panel of admissions and college soccer coaches will share their expertise with parents and players of all high school grade levels. NCAA rules and regulations with regard to the recruitment process will be discussed along with the parallel academic recruitment process. All NCAA Divisions and both men’s and women’s coaching staff will be represented.

St. Anthony’s High School College Fair – all invited - TBD March 2021

A college fair is an excellent opportunity to expand your college knowledge. Meet with and gather information from 200+ college and universities.

The financial challenge of college can be overwhelming for families. Mr. Alan Tanenblatt of Ron-Tan Enterprises will discuss the intricacies of College Financial Aid.  Mr. Tanenblatt has more than 25 years of experience assisting families with a process many find intimidating. He will explain the financial aid forms and discuss strategies for getting the most financial aid possible.
